A few shots I captured this past Spring. I think it's safe to assume that it was painted in 1993. Seeing as how the last two building projects in Cabrini were torn down this Spring/Early Summer, it also maybe the last Anti-Violence Graffiti mural still standing in the area.
93 was a bloody year. I lost 4 friends that summer, 3 of them days from each other. Senior year of high school was bittersweet. Art gets respect when its founded in a powerful emotion.
Awesome shots. I love how they have been respected after all these years. No one went over them with gang signs, etc. Thanks for sharing!
